The process involves cutting the tube to length and arranging the fittings in the desired location. Once the arrangement has been created it can then be easily sealed, connecting the fitting and tube together using a crimping tool.
The correct crimping tool will ensure a perfect seal. Under tightening or even over tightening of other types of fittings such as compression fittings has always been a potential problem for installers but this risk is eliminated with press fittings.

A lot of press fittings are copper, but with a growing number of buildings now designed with exposed services, stainless steel can offer a more aesthetic solution.

Our stainless-steel press fittings range can be used for installing building services in all types of properties, so is ideal for construction projects across both the commercial and domestic sectors.
It includes elbows, couplings, bridges, adaptors, tees, valves and reducers, from 15mm up to 108mm all complemented by tubes in all sizes to fit, so can be used for any plumbing application.
The products have a maximum operating pressure of 16bar and a temperature range of -35°c to +135°c, although higher temperatures can be achieved using optional FPM seals.

All the fittings come with a blue press indicator which will break off once a full seal has been achieved. This provides assurance that the joint is fully formed and won’t leak.
